You missed me!!!I had this idea to start a little community for the writers here on BYC. I'm planning on posting a new writing prompt every day, and anyone who wants to can write a little story or part of a story to go with the prompt! It could be any genre, and you can be as creative as you want, as long as is is BYC appropriate. If you are unsure weather something is okay or not to write about, look through BYC's rules. Have fun!

Tell me if I missed anyone!
It was night in the Sandwing kingdom. Barely a breeze stirred around the walls surrounding the Scorpion Den. Most dragons were asleep.
But not Cyprus. He couldn't.
The Leafwing stood up and started pacing. "She's going to realize it's gone soon. All of them are. Her, Leif, that freaky Hivewing-hybrid-queen weirdo, and goodness knows who else. They suspected me from the beginning I know, especially Leif. He's gonna snitch on me to Fae 100% when he realizes. Ohhhhhh boy." He mused to himself, trying to keep his anxiety under control.
"I've got to get this somewhere safe." The dragon said, holding up the golden chain in his talons and watching as it glistened in the moonlight.
"If I don't go, they're going to find out I'm here eventually. Even with Gila and his animus powers, Raptor won't hide us forever. And if they somehow get their talons on Cicada--" The Leafwing stopped and shuddered, refusing to acknowledge that possibility.
"No. I have to go to the third continent. It's the only way to keep this safe and maybe get some help at the same time. I have to do this."
Cyprus stepped outside, glancing at the chain.
"Cyprus?" A sleepy feminine voice yawned from the doorway he had just exited. A Hivewing stuck her head out the door. "Where are you going?" She asked.
"I'm going, Cicada." He said. "I have to."
"Going where?"
"The third continent. It's the only way I can keep this safe and out of Fae's clutches. Maybe I can even find some help there." He said, motioning to the chain.
"So... that's it then? Y-you're just abandoning us??" Cicada asked, not wanting to believe what she was hearing.
Cyprus sighed. "You know if there was any way I could stay here, I would. I just can't take that risk."
The Hivewing still wasn't convinced. "I understand you need to keep that magic chain thingy away from Fae, but don't you think you're overreacting a bit? It's not like she's gonna kill you or anything, right?"
He shook his head. "Cicada. I know you think I'm being paranoid, but the truth is I'm worth a lot more to her dead than alive. Especially after the stunt I pulled with Leif and Atlantis the first time I was here."
"Oh." Her eyes fell. "Well, I guess that is true. I get it. I don't like it, not one bit, but I get it."
"That's why this is so crucial." Cyprus said. "This just may be the key to our success."
Neither of them said anything for a while.
Finally the Leafwing broke the silence. "I have to go." He said, his voice catching slightly.
"Wait." Cicada stopped him. "Promise me you'll take care of yourself, okay?" She said, touching him lightly on the arm with her talon.
"Promise." Cyprus said, grinning slightly. "See you soon. I hope." he said as he stepped back and wrapped the chain around his talon.
Instantly he disappeared into thin air.
"See ya." Cicada said softly, staring wistfully at where he had stood.
Turning around, she slowly walked back into the room to get some much-needed rest as the first signs of sunrise in Pyyrhia tinted the eastern sky with a deep shade of blue.
All of the characters mentioned in this story are from a Wings of Fire (The Three Continents) Roleplay here on BYC. This was actually written as a possible (but unlikely) future to where the storyline may be heading as the RP is currently in progress even as we speak.
AHHHHHI backed slowly into a corner and pressed my back against the wall. My hands grasped for something, anything I could use to defend myself with.
“Shela, please, no!” I gasped “What have I done to make you do this”
“It is not you or I who is making me do this,” Shela said casually, approaching slowly, sword drawn “It is the one whom I serve”
She pointed the tip of her weapon at the bridge of my nose
“I’d rather not die. Couldn't you just let me go?” I whispered
She let her sword drop.
“I’m not going to kill you” She stated “What makes you think I’d do that? All Trifth wants is the knowledge you possess…and an oath of silence”
“You think I'm being paranoid but the truth is I'm worth a lot more to her dead than alive." I retorted “You and I both know this to be true. This so-called knowledge is why I am seen as a danger to everything she’s built and worked to accomplish, and I would rather perish by your hand then hers so decide whose side you’re on and get this over with.”
An expression of rage came over Shela and once again the blade was pointed in my direction.
“I serve the legion!” She spat
“Do you?” I asked. “Is that where your heart truly lies?”
“Silence!” She cried
“Go ahead, silence me. Will that make you satisfied? Will you be finally fulfilled?” I questioned.
Shela dropped her sword and it clattered to the floor. Her head dropped.
“No,” She whispered.
When she looked up I was gone.
She strode to the open window, looked out at the quiet night and sighed.
