Ain't too long, dog, you used PARAGRAFFFFSSSZZZ. YEAESSSSSS.I haven't written anything in a really long time (much less shared it...). I tried yesterday's prompt but it wasn't working for me.
So here's my attempt at today's. (Spelling and grammar are not my strong points so ignore any mistakes)
Sorry if it's a bit longAsh hesitantly walked toward the grey wolf. She heard his approach and turned to face him, green eyes showing no recognition.
“Glade." He said as he reached her.
Glade tipped her head to study him.
Does she even know or remember my name?
All the thousands of ways he'd rehearsed this in his head swirled around becoming a jumbled mess. “Why did you do it?” He finally blurted out.
“Do what?” She replied in her usual uncaring and superior voice.
The black wolf gave a short growl. He wanted to yell and scream at her, but he'd promised Barras he wouldn’t make a scene. “You know exactly what, I know you remember what you and Mardor did to me. You didn’t look back once after you left me there, did you?”
Why do I care so much? At one time or other this wolf has tried to kill everyone I care about.
“Ash, isn’t it?” She asked. “It seems to be that you still do not understand how much of a crucial part of the plan you were.”
“I never asked to be a part of that plan or any other plan!” Ash began to pace. “And look where that plan got you?” he motioned his head toward her thin and ragged frame.
Glade finally moved. She turned away from him and began to leave. “It's all in the past, Ash, I think you need to move on.”
The black wolf stared after the retreating figure.
What was I expecting? Why would I want a wolf like that to care about me?
He turned and walked away.
Because mothers are supposed to care.![]()
That last line is gold. Genius!I haven't written anything in a really long time (much less shared it...). I tried yesterday's prompt but it wasn't working for me.
