d'anver lovers, discuss the breed and post some pics!

BoggyBottom thank you. I thought I was correct about them needing to be mille splits...maybe just maybe my mille does have a lavender or porcelain years back but we were told "Mille"...either way is fine because I want the porcelain. I am picking the little darlings up in the morning and will get pics once they are home and settled down.

I appreciate your input.

flower,
Those are most likely lavenders.
If they were labeled blue black splash, it is possible they are splash. I do have some pretty pale splash d'anvers, but they arent that uniform in color.
I'm 99.9% sure they are lavenders though as even as that coloring is.
100% sure way to tell is to breed them to a blue or black. If they turn out all black, they are lavenders. If you have a mix of black, blue or splash from the chicks, they are splash.
But my moneys definately on lavender based on their color

Okay BoggyBottom the pics are not the greatest because everyone was tired and fussy from the drive but......

In the pic are the 2 "porcelain" suspects, ) and an unknown appears mille from the "porcelain" parents the lavender (from Project x Project - they are offspring of Mille over lavender not saame as the other three. I also got 2 Mille splits.

look sorta pocelain ish, like you said, hard to tell, camera level side shots are best, hard to tell looking down.
then 1 looks lavender
and the millie suspect has the right pattern but very very light for a pure millie

They will get a photo session today for sure. But just for a complete understanding of my little ones...I have no pure Milles only these groupings

Mille Roo over Porcelain girls (all Mille babies should be split to lavender from this pair)

Project Roo over Project girls - these birds are the offsping of a Mille Roo over lavender girls. They are black with mille bleed through

Now on a sad note: Sarah had some electrical issues during incubation with a power outage for several hours so each of the chicks were being checked thoroughly. 3 of them have spraddle leg in varying degrees and one of these also has one foot with a slight curl to the toes. So, I hobbled them and added shoes to the one with the toe curl. I will give them 48 hours to come around and then cull. But my only lavender baby is one of these.

On a good note: I put 14 bantam eggs into lockdown last night from the two pens above and my partridge silkie pen. I also have 4 Suede/Meg eggs in lockdown...one I am questioning but time will tell.

will report back later with more pics
