The little one with the bandaid shoes got a couple toes stuck and he injured them so he is wearing little shoes to keep his toes straight till he heals. I put a shoe on the other foot just so he could stay balanced having one on each foot.

The other two are a spraddle legged so if they cannot manage on their own and stand properly within 36 hours, they will be culled.

Cyn, the older one (by 2.5 days) has the creamy beige color tinging his little wing feathers just like a porcelain but I am no expert. LOL The little guy with his shoes is a hoot and a half. He loves his little shoes and is walking around with them on like nothing is on his feet. I just took those little square bandaids and stood him on one and put another one on top. But it is holding his/her little toes in place. But that baby thinks he is da bomb in his shoes. hahahaha

Oh no flower....I do not have d'anvers mine are belgian d'Uccles but the colors are the same in both Mille Fleur, Porcelain etc etc and BoggyBottom is very very experienced in breeding these colors and I am asking him a color genetic question. I am so so sorry to have confused you. d'anvers are clean legged...d'Uccles are booted (feathered feet and legs)

yep you have porcelain, light millies (split to lavender is why)
black mottled (split to lavender as well I'm sure)
and the lavender is most likely split to mottled
yes d'uccles, not d'anvers, haha
I'd breed the black mottled to the lavender next if they end up good, you should get some very nice lavender mottled

Okay thank you. So this means my mille roo is actually a split or at least has a lav somewhere back his family line...or not?

Now, the problem may be that both the black mottled and the lavender both have spraddle leg and both may be culled.

I cannot wait to see what I get from the eggs in lockdown now. I really love my little guys and gals.

Oh by the way I almost got Cynthia to touch a silkie...but wow is she tough. LOL

This is the daddy of those porcelain babies:

that's, he most likely came from a porcelain and millie cross.
there's just no way for lavender of any pattern to show up the first time from a cross with only 1 parent being lavender. Any time lavender is crossed to another color like this, the first time is always black based off spring, split to lavender.
so for you to be getting porcelains and lavenders, that roo has to be split to lavender too.

Thank you so much for your help with this as your opinion is a valued one. It always helps to hear that what you thought is correct.

Now I shall move on and remove my d'Uccle talk from the d'anvers thread. Funny thing is the d'anvers and d'Uccle look so similiar aside from the leg and feet feathering...that alone fascinates me.
