Been offshore fishing again so was out of the house for a while. Great to see you got to go see Cynthia and the babies. That story was too cute. Glad you got smitten by the d'anver bug. Will be happy to get some up from you next spring.
Love the pics too.
Cynthia, hate she ruined your boy for you...haha...they can be traitors at times!
I'm pouting that she didn't cuddlize Rusty for me or take him to KY for the complete Rooster Renovation Treatment, LOL. Rufus is the MAN around here. Can't wait for some babies from him.
I done told you that Rusty would forget what forward meant and think roosters fly in reverse. I am not giving a bubble bath to a one pound pile of feathers with an attitude. Besides he liked getting chucked backwards, he had to because Sunday he was wanting me to rub his chest through the fence too.
But, notice he only got one rub and Rufus got all the rest and got to free range with the big girls! That will learn Rusty what being a good rooster gets ya when I am around .... loves, pancakes and freedom! When you are a toerag you get chucked and ignored.
Rufus has got to be heartbroken now because we spoke at length about him living in Kentucky and he was looking forward to it, excited even and you Ms. Cynthia have broken his little good as gold heart...are you not ashamed of yourself in the least woman? I mean look at how happy that boy was in that picture with me...how can you deny him such bliss and happiness. I mean you will not give me Suede or Zane and now you withhold Rufus but want to give me a toerag....I thought you lurved me. *snicker*
Good grief, woman! Will a bunch of Rufus's kids do? She always wants to take my best roosters, sheesh.
Aubrey, are you sure these cute little hens aren't defective? Still not laying. 27 weeks old now. Bad girls. It's almost November. Please don't tell me they are going to make me wait till spring!
Cynthia, yep, I know folks say at 6 months they start to breed. A better way to word it is they are sexually mature then. This time of year d'anvers really dont lay, so might be next spring before they start for you. Most all of my yearlings always hold off til their first spring unfortunately....but then again you never know. They are plenty old enough.
You better watch out though if you dont get Cetawin some soon, they might disapear, she knows where you live!!!!
