d'anver lovers, discuss the breed and post some pics!

I just wanted to stop in and say how much I have fallen for my little d'Anvers pair. The hen is so tame and is soft as a plush toy. She flew up on my shoulder today while i was cleaning out the coop.

I set some of their eggs about a month ago, but none of them hatched. They all died right before pipping. (One did pip, but then died.) Do you guys think this could be due to humidity issues? I have the bator upstairs where we don't run the heat as much, but the humidity in the bator still fluctuates a lot.

What do you all think of this quail cockrel. I kept him because he looked a little different. He hatched 10/14.

Then, they're BIG thinkers 'cuz they've been doing that for months.

jj, he's really dark in the hackle, isn't he? I can't really say much of anything because I don't know what is really good or bad in the quail variety. He has a comb sort of like Rusty's. Pretty good beard.
