Man, I love bantams, and d'Anvers are my favorites! I haven't gotten any yet, but after my zoning issues shake out, look out

Glad you found this then Steve,

hope you find this thread helpful and glad you are a club member too, lots of nice folks on there.

Hopefully you'll get things straightened out there and can load up on some d'anvers, everybody needs 1 or 2 or 400

well, I jumped he gun in my last post on the cuckoo duns hatching soon, the first batch finally hatched today, and wow, that was easy, got 8 today, 4 dun cuckoo right off the bat, and 4 black cuckoo split to dun quail. So one more round of breeding next spring should do the trick.
Also, had some of the blue mottled projects hatch today too, all blue, with a little mottling, so next year should finish those as well!!!

Oh and the bb reds to porcelains are yeilding lavender buff coulmbians right from the get go at 90% average, only had a couple be just buff columbians

That's all for this weeks new stuff

I keep coming back to this thread to look at all the wonderful pictures! Aubrey, it may be spring before I can get eggs, so much going on including so many of my older hatchery hens dying from internal laying right now and this awful heat is making it all worse, but it's still in my plans, trust me. I really want some of these cuties for my own and I'm still stuck on porcelains.

Should have lavenders in a few weeks. got a chick order to get out, but they seem to have quit on me this week, so as soon as they fire back up, we'll get him out of the way , then have some

The hens are all very gentle
On the roos, you generally have two types, same as the hens, or mean as a snake. But still with their small size, the meanest ones never do any harm, they are just very defensive of their hens is all they are doing.

dont know much about the watermaels, they are very rare here
