That's what I do. Just to see what comes of them, betting that's her base though. Looks like she's gone be a nice girl too when she finishes out.

Weird how the recessive genes can come out in stuff and in patterns you werent expecting. I 'd dare say most every color out there has a touch of quail in it somewhere, the lottery gods just lined up on her looks like... which has happened a few times for you this year already seems like

Snowy- splash quail pullet,
Inigma -blue quail pullet with a single comb
PJ- blue quail roo,
Madison- Splash (or maybe just a real light blue) quail roo I think

They look just like some blue quail chicks I got last year from Ideal hatchery, even had a few single combs in the bunch.

lol! That's my son and all the birds love him. We got into this breed because he is in 4H.

Thank you! I'm new to raising chicks from eggs and new to the breed so have been trying to make educated guesses. We have 3 more but their pictures were too blurry to post.

Yup, but doesn't get along well with the ducks, yet. The ducks think it's hilarious to chase him.
