Okay all here is an update on one of my little oddities....the white chick with dark markings....8 days old now...

I still have no idea what the final color will be but I can find no cessive silver or white in the lineage...The solid black chick I can understand because he does have a black split to lavender girl but this little fella is a mystery indeed.

That is one cool looking chickster! No idea what genes are in play though.

Video clip of broody power in action. You immediately see Aimee race toward the right of the screen and hear screaming. She was putting the smackdown on one of the lavender Coch'Anver pullets who dared to look at one of the chicks while Carly stayed in the left corner with the kids, LOL. Aubrey doesn't seem to know which way to turn, though he's broken up a few fights since I put the two broodies and their babies in the bantam coop yesterday.

I am in LOVE with that Porcelain. I'm coming to Virginia right now to pick her up! It might take a really long time though, because I don't really have a driver's license, so I'll be on my bike...But I will get there!!!!!

Be carefull, stay hydrated and wear a helmet. I have more of them.

They are very pretty JJ. You did good.
Thanks, Here is a oddity for you ( I know you like them) hatched from some light sussex eggs, seems one of the hens had a thing for a silver laced polish.

That chick of yours looks like a black and white pic of a millie. I bet silver millie.

Cyn- them broody hens sure don't take no ....stuff from anything or one.
