d'anver lovers, discuss the breed and post some pics!

Is there anyone from Oklahoma on here? I am looking to get restarted in D'anvers again. I had them many years ago. I just don't see them much anymore, maybe I am in the wrong area. I don't care what color, but I am really wanting whites for sure. I like them all though so am not picky about color.
Chuck in Oklahoma
I'm in Oklahoma. I don't have white ones. I ordered eggs from Aubrey (Boggy Bottom Bantams) and a friend hatched mine.
BFrancis on the Okie thread in "Where Are You" has d'Anvers also

I have always had terrible luck with eggs. I think it is because the temp in my house is very unstable. Still air incubators are a complete waste of time I had a forced air one and it would hatch anything I put in there. I no longer have that and am going to have to start all over again. I forgot to add I am wantiong SQ type stock. I do intend on showing D'anvers again. It has been many years since I showed and am looking forward to getting back into it again.

Welcome charter. Hope you have success finding birds. If you can get to any of the bigger shows there are always some d'anvers in the for sale area. The real good ones can be pricey but you have the opportunity to meet the breeders, which will lead to opportunities to get some good birds at non show prices.

Here is my golden neck chick I hatched from BBB eggs.

Welcome Charter...you do not want anything from me...mine all have Kentucky Leg Fungus which I am utilizing to build and amass a great army known as the Hairy Legged Horde...they are going to infiltrate Red 4x4s stock and infect them too. We are merely biding time while my troops and recruits train up.

My roo just got really aggressive, I've been giving him a little push every time he does it, and he's getting better. The other day somebody laid an egg under out porch (OMG, I AM HATING THIS PORCH, I HAVE HAD TWO CHICKENS TRY AND ESCAPE MEDICAL ATTENTION UNDER THERE!!!!!) and, anyways, I am lying on my stomach with my feet up a little. Ders sees me when he is about 6 yards back, then runs, full speed into my flip-flop! I think he was going to launch a full out attack, but misjudged. He just walked around kind of dizzy for a bit, then he was fine.

He hasn't been the same since my aunt gave him Blue Moon out of a Peanut shell.....

Lmao. Love it when they misjudge .... Rufus came running at me this morning and slipped on the shavings thus ending up sliding and stumbling into my ankle. I laughed at him. Picked him up and walked outside to my big orp roo. Holding Rufus out towards Lancelot I said "Rufus...behave or I will feed you to Lancelot!" His little eyes bugged out and he could not wait to get back in my arms.

Hahahaha
