d'anver lovers, discuss the breed and post some pics!

Stopped at the Morganton, NC show today and was surprised to see several D'Anvers. They had Millie Fluer, Blue Quail, i think thats what the card said, Self Blue, Black and Quail. Nice birds, but dont know who they belonged too. My other half, took some pictures, I will post them when I can get them off the camera.

Took a few pictures this evening. First my goldneck pullet I think she looks a little more mottled than she used too. Oh and notice any thing wrong in this pic?

My crele pullet. I think she is a little light colored.

One of my bb red pullets, how are they looking? Too much shafting ?

couple of bb red cockerels

This is one of my quail cockerels I am thinking about showing. See real bad faults?

na
all looking good JJ
What's up witha single comb beardless mille???

the crele looks pretty good, the barring tends to lighten some of them up, you would like to see your bb hen but with the barring. Just breed her to the male you have and they'll come out perfect.

quail looks pretty good too.

On the goldneck, yep she looks like just one of the overly white milles, will still work fine though, just breed her to a good colored mille male

The single comb is a bb red, I didn't notice him for a while. Oh, I didn't even think about the millie, the single comb millie is a Pyncheon for the Watermaal project.

They are a little young yet but I think I got some reall good millies in the brooder.
