looks mostly like silver quail Do. Melanized ones on the darker ones I'm betting, which will be the darker colored ones. That light one, I'm not sure on. Do you know the parents? Kinda got a columbian look to it. Pretty much the black with white head or face is the silver quail down color though.Aubrey! Could you tell me what color these newly hatch D'anvers be? Thanks, Do

I love the Dun Quail color too, so I just might have to get some of those from youaint got one of those yet is why haha.

They are a splash or "sport" version of the dun quail. Everybody that get's the duns from me gets a few. I have been breeding dun quail to dun quail. That gives you 50% dun, 25% black and 25% khaki.
Finally got the khaki males though so will be breeding them to the dun quail girls. That will cut out the black versions and give 50% of each dun and khaki on them. So yep, I can get you a few this year, you'll just have to work threw the duns to get them is all.
Then like splash, the khaki to khaki will breed true 100% khaki's after that.
Hope to get a lot of them this year and finally have a pen of just the khaki set up for next season

they breed together with no problems. one just has a single copy of dun, the other has 2 copies. basically the same bird other wiseI love the Dun Quail color too, so I just might have to get some of those from you
I got ya, most likely all silver quail just some will grow up darker. The whiter one not sure about then if you didnt raise them, could be anything if they arent sure if it came from silver quail. Bet it did though and is going to be a more columbian type color
I had 4 of those tickets last week and all I got was silver quail. But it makes sense that I didn't keep a winner. Good luck!
The birds in that pen have a 50/50 shot at being split for lav. Any of the others hatch?
