d'anver lovers, discuss the breed and post some pics!

Here is an enigma. I have one egg that is developing from my shipped eggs, It is due to hatch on 12th. When ever I incubate shipped eggs I put in a few of my own fertile eggs for a control. I have about a 99% hatch rate on my eggs. anyhoo, here it is. The Danver egg looks to be about a week behind the control eggs in development. It is moving around in there so alive, just not growing.

I am looking to get some D'anver for my son to show but wanted to know what is the excepted colors for showing? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I'm not sure what it is. Doesn't seem to be a rose comb, but if it's hatchery stock, you never know what they'll turn out.

JJ, my Dalmation chick is about 8 weeks old and though it appears to have a pullet's body, the comb is really pink. What do you think? Male or female? Sure is pink for a pullet, though the comb is very small. This is a Del x over Splash Rock.

Cynthia, She is a little pink but I still see a pullet. Her legs don't look overly thick like roosters normally do. I am sure your instincts are a lot better than mine though.
