My porcelain rooster is not from BBB. He has always been sweet until he became the alfa male a few months ago. He learned quick not to mess with me! Now the two Silkie roosters in that pen are the boss, so he is back to being sweet again

The other two roosters I have from BBB come after me off and on, but they are so beautiful and full of personality that I can't part with them. I have a bunch of chicks from BBB growing out right now, with half of them being roosters. I love them all and plan on keeping most of them

I have a great mix of colors . . blue, blue mottled, black, black mottled, chocolate, chocolate mottled, mille fleur and porcelain.

What's the genetics on mottleds and golden necks? Are they compatible with porcelain and mille fleur?

I gotta say, I love the roosters. They can be a little feisty but they're so small. They can't really do too much harm. I had three bantam roosters and nine hens in my backyard flock and they all got along just fine. They just kinda have little mans complex. lol They think they're bigger than they really are. I love them personally. Very entertaining. My favorite hen liked to sunbathe with me on the deck. Sadly all my birds got eaten over a year ago so I'm starting fresh with eggs I got from BBB. I'm pro rooster myself. And they're just so darn pretty!

I have a genetics question. If I crossed buff columbian with mottled would I get mille fleur? I know it's not quite that simple but would those two colors be enough?

Mille yes is mottled on buff Columbian
Porcelain is lavender on mille
Goldneck is dominate white on mille

No the mottled to buff Columbian. Gets you there. But not that easy. Mottled is recessive so both parents mist have for the chicks to show it.
Black also covers pretty much everything.
So that initial cross will make black chicks that leak red and are split for mottled.

Cross these to each other and hatch a bunch . and you'll get some milles then. The red leakage is where they are still carrying the buff Columbian genes.

Will be a bunch to cull threw but you'll get there.

A lot of my buffs carry mottled already though since they were made off my milles several years ago
