I'm so glad I found this thread, because I loooove D'anvers! I have 3 Quail now, but they're getting old, and are ready to be retired from show. I'd really like to find a good breeder near Washington, but I can't seem to find anyone. Any suggestions?

Is there anyone in Canada I could purchase from? Particularly pullets, since I'd prefer not to have to deal with extra roosters. I just have a backyard pet flock so failed breeding/show prospects would be fine. I'd really like a black quail and solid black.

I just had a girl ask me about meeting to sell her eggs to hatch. She's only in town until tomorrow. She's in hospital and gets out tomorrow. She just had a baby yesterday yes that's what I'd do stop off and get hatching eggs before I take my new baby home.

LOL... I thought before I eat them I'm going to post them on the Facebook yard sale site. $12 a doz. I have someone else coming to get those and 2 more doz barnyard mix eggs to hatch.

It's that time of year when people are getting spring fever and what better way to celebrate than to hatch out some cute chicks?!

I posted some golden cuckoo Marans chicks on 530 Poultry on FB that I had hatched for the NYD Hatch-a-long and they sold in one hour! I had multiple people asking for them. I think I better put more eggs in the incubator!

Funny story, Karen. Mine finally started laying again, but looks like only Carly and one other hen so far. Did you post on the FB site already? I'll look for your post. We ought to have a joint FB Belgian D'Anver tag-team egg biz, LOL. When I can't supply, I send them to you and vice versa. Of course, I have Lucy Goosey, Miss I Don't Wanna EVER Lay An Egg, so in effect, I have only six hens, not seven.
