You're welcome. I also think the D'Anvers are a slightly smaller bird than the D'Uccle. I used to have a D'Uccle trio, hatchery stock, but wasn't fond of the stiff leg feathers.

Yeah youll get black mottled from some of those that can be shown. The black and blue averages out at about 1/2 of each. On the blue to dun, you can get 4. Blue, dun, black, and platinum.

They arw Cynthia. The d'uccle is a slimer built bird more up right. When the danver also is an up right bird, just not as tall and a beefier build to it. Side by side its obvious. But yeah the comb and feet are the main and most obvious differences. All the D' breeds are cusins though. All being true bantams and come from Belgium.

Me too Chickee. Variety that is. The platinum are a nice.color. 1 blue gene.and 1 dun gene both being expressed at the same time. Its very similar to khaki but with a blue tint to it

Karen (KEpp) and I have found a pretty good market for the D'Anver hatching eggs/birds locally now. I'm positive that if I had chicks, I'd have no trouble selling them, now that I have located my "audience".
