Aw, you need a D'Anver rooster. After all, he won't be a real rooster, he just thinks he is, LOL. He's really not much more than a squeaky toy. One of my first friends to see them in person was squatting down in the coop and one crowed behind him and he said, "Why don't you crow like a real rooster?" They do have piercing high pitched crows, but they don't have much carrying power unless you have about a thousand like Aubrey does!![]()

I wish I could keep a "he" but I can't for domestic tranquility. Hubby is fine with the chickens he REALLY doesn't want a rooster. He did put up with my parrot for 5 years so I can understand that he does not want more noise. Also one of my neighbors requested that we not have a rooster. I can legally have one but the neighbor is a great neighbor and I don't want to hurt the relationship.
