d'anver lovers, discuss the breed and post some pics!

Thanks for the guesses.

But...hummmmmm. I think I need much better photos.

I rather think the first one is a cross between a porcelain and ? Because he has that dilute look to him. (OBVIOUSLY didn't capture that in the photo...dang, is that photo horrid).

I think #2 is a gold neck.

They both could be goldnecks the pictures aren't good enough for me to see mottling. But if they have white spots at the end of the redish feathers they are goldnecks for sure. The first one may have mottling in the wing bows but I can't say for sure.

Hey, folks. @Boggy Bottom Bantams My tiny Carly, who is one of my original hens, the smallest (17 oz) and also the head hen in there, had what appears to be a stroke. I think she's had a couple of mini-strokes in the past, thinking back on some of her behavior, but today, she cannot walk, acts drunk and weak and had two seizures. So she is separated in a pet carrier in the barn and not fighting it, which is a sure sign she is not feeling good.
Carly, Aimee and Penny turned 6 yrs old on April 6 and I still have the original porcelain rooster, Aubrey, and his son, Spike, plus Spike's mom, Mina, and Aimee's daughter Sissy. I don't expect Carly to be here in the morning. Gosh, these are the best little hens in the world and Carly has been laying for a couple of months, too!

Carly tonight. She will be the first of my original hens to pass away. I hope she makes a liar out of me and is recovered in the a.m., but not holding out much hope.

:hugs so sad to read this :hugs

She's still here, a tad more steady, but not back to normal. She is eating and drinking a little bit. Gave her a baby aspirin yesterday, will give her Vitamin E today and just see, but seizures are not a good sign. And she's not a chick anymore, either, plus so tiny, anything that happens is 10 x worse for her, I think.

ETA: It's just after 4 p.m. I was in the barn, heard flapping and saw Carly in the middle of another seizure. So, not looking great for my beautiful little palm full of chicken.
