I will and with pics as soon as one gets out. I guess I need to get the brooder fired up and running. Its so cold I don't want to go out and all my brooder stuff is in the garage.

Oh yeah and I'm fixing to go haul water to all my coops and turn my lab out of her kennel in the garage. Brrrr.... My D'anver roo is in there too in a cat carrier. He didn't want to go back in the barn so I put him in there. I have a pair of d'Uccle in a rabbit cage with a 60 watt light its actually keeping the tool room above freezing. ...or it was.

I have one egg with a pea size hole out of it. This is the hardest part of hatching eggs the wait after the first pip. In the summer I keep the incubator in the tool room and its not as tempting to mess with them . My daughter keep staring at them and giving my 30 second uodates.

We have one porcelain from a unmarked egg out making a incredible amount of noise. It does seem to have a touch of blood at the
umbilical area. Still wet, but very active and loud!

Unfortunately it now has a blob of yolk dragging behind it. Will it absorb it or is that a sign it will die. The other early piper has flipped the lid off its egg and is also porcelain from a unmarked egg.

so excited! I have been adding eggs to the bator as they lay them. This warm spell got my pullets started. I know the D'anver and the Bantam Orps will be pure. The silkie eggs will be surprise daddys. Either the Choc Orp or the Cuckoo D 'anver. The silkie Roo is not allowed to get busy yet. I am so excited for the 24th!

That happens often and they are normally fine. Wait until it dries up and clip it.That chick looks pretty dark to be a porcelain, millie I think.
