Bad Bart, one of my yard D'anver roos will jump up on the gate to the chicken yard, just to give me a stare down! LOL. He quickly gets the latch released and a trip on a swinging door...

He also follows me around the yard... waiting for a sneak attack......

I have a few spare cocks around the yard too that do that, blue quail, mottled, and lavenders. People say , awww, how cute look he's following you...
Yeah, right, more like he's stalking me

I think they have a little cougar in them or something, cause they sure are feisty. But being so small, it's kind of hilarious!

o kay, around to getting a few more quick pics of some of then new color projects today, some are just f1 stges and not in final color yet, but figured I 'd show some of the progress with them anyway


blue buff columbian

f 1 project towards creles, note the color leakage in wing and hackle areas

this is a lavender silver quail project F1 cockerel will be 1-2 more seasons on them

blue red pullets still real young

new pics of the ginger eds

columbian work, still needs to be cleaned up a touch, but getting there

f1 outcross to red pyle, still very young

very young dun cuckoo

lavender columbian work (will be basically a coronation d'anver)

still have some to go pic wise, will get to them with a little more age
