d'anver lovers,discuss the breed and post some pics!

Here is my girl Cinnomin. How is her quality?

Anyways, does anyone know of a breeder of d'anvers in Connecticut? I'm looking for any color variety other that quail.... a hen or a female any age!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, show a level, side shot of her, and a level face on shot. That will give better views of what we need to see. She looks young too, with d'anvers it's hard to tell till they are fully grown.
Right now, beard looks thin, but that could be age or angle of pic too. Their beards arent fully developed til they are adult sized.

BBB . . . I will definitely be interested in a couple of young started pullets. I toyally love baby chicks but I don't really want any roos . . . beautiful as they are! And don't worry about shipping. I will be dragging my most adorable DH

down to Georgia for a fun filled road trip when them little girls are ready. I figured I better stick with a fairly common color as I won't be breeding and you and DW stated the rarer colors don't lay well.

the best egg laying colors are the quail colored, blacks, lavenders, etc, yes the more rare colors, though they lay well, dont do the egg a day deal like those colors do.
Will be glad to have you here if you did want to come down for a visit. Just let me know what you had in mind, or if any will work, and I'll get you some ready when they start back. Would most likely be July or so before I could sex any for sure.

As it is....we will be in Florida middle of July for my dear MIL's 90th birthday. I'm sure we could work out a pick up/visit on our way home.
