good to hear they are getting better.
If they are still in blood feather leave them alone, you dont want to damage a soft quill and make them start bleeding. The process is totally normal and they should preen themselves clean. If they feathers are ALL hard at the base now, you can help them out a bit, but BE SURE they are all hard to avoid any more damage to the poor things.
The crums in the beard is fairly common, some seem to stay that way, so never get a problem with it. Guess they are like us, some are messy eaters some arent
