d'anver lovers, discuss the breed and post some pics!

Poor Mr. Cetawin rarely knows which end is up with his woman's flock. He just shakes his head and says, "Yes, dear, whatever you want."

Muahahahahaha. Did you notice how he got out of owning Shelby? Hahahahahaha. He knew I would never give her up once I got my paws on her. He is one smart cookie but I do keep him on his toes.

But no 8 -10 years i a good run for them. Did have some back in the day make 12 but they needed a walker and a poop bag by the end

Hahahahahaha. How in the world...that be a small walker and poop bag not like building one for the Suedenator, that would be easy, much like a snowboard.

Aubrey I gotta tell you about this dream I had recently which actually made Cyn's hubby nervous....

Background, a couple years ago I dreamed that my doorbell rang and I opened it to find Suede (Cyn's Blue Orp Roo) and Isaac (her Delaware Roo) standing on the doorstep carrying little suitcases. I was shocked and wondering how they got to Oregon without their mama NOT that they had suitcases and were standing there not trying to kill each other. Several months later we moved from Oregon to Kentucky.

A couple weeks back I dreamed that Suede had found this piece of hard plastic and was jumping on it and snowboarding down the hill at Cyn's while Zane (her handicapped BR roo) watched. Suede would then pull his sled back to the top and go again and Zane was wanting to go too so Suede held the snowboard for Zane to flap his way over to it and get settled and then he pushed Zane down the hill. In the dream I was not upset that Zane was sitting on the snow (A no no because he is crippled) or that Suede was being a daredevil oh no I was saying "Suede No! Zane cannot get back up that hill stop that". But then Suede went down the hill and drug Zane and the snowboard back up to the top so Zane could go again.

I relay this dream chuckling to Cyn who tells Tom and he says "Oh no you remember her last dream where the boys showed up with suitcases then she moves across country, I wonder if this is a sign we are in for a bad winter".

. Gawd help us if it is a bad winter because then my dreams of her Roos will be Omens for sure.

For the record, I must say that boy Suede and Zane love him are excellent snowboarders.

Pardon the BR in your thread but this is Cyn's beautiful Boy....what an incredible soul he has, he has not been able walk since he was 5 months old roughly and hurt his hock but he is astonishing and vibrant and very very special

Oh, gee, watch out! Every one of my birds will make it into the D'Anvers thread before it's all said and done, Aubrey, LOL!

Rusty was being his usual evil self today. I sat on the end of the "launch bar" roost (the wide low one put in for the older hens, who refuse to acknowledge their age and use it) and was cuddling Penny when Rusty jumped up on the other end of it and was sidling his way over to me, looking as threatening as he possibly could. I put Penny on the floor, stood up, whirled around and grabbed Rusty off the roost before he could raise his hackles at me. He was yelling and struggling and I made him submit to petting for a moment. When I sat his sorry little behind on the floor, Rufus whooshed in, grabbed Rusty by the wing and swung him in a circle, all the while, Rusty is yelling and trying to escape the Wrath of Rufus. Rufus doesn't put up with Rusty messing with Mama, no sirree!

haha,
you may be on to something oh great shaman.
It has been a very cold start to fall here so far, we've hit the upper 30's already here in mid Oct. Had to scrap ice off the truck 3 days last week.. I know a lot of folks would laugh at that, but I'm only 25 miles north of Florida!! We dont have to start doing this til late November or early December. And the big this is it's holding, been this way for 2 weeks now, not the normal cold day or two then back to 90...... Lord help us if her visions come true

Are you kidding me, Aubrey? We've been down to 32 already up here in the mtns (it's about 38 this a.m.) and for you, all the way down there, to be almost as cold as we have been already in October, isn't making me feel too good about this winter. Could be the snowboarding roosters were a bad omen there. Cetawin, you should have dreamed about them sunning themselves on the beach in Hawaii!
