Well, Aubrey, Rusty continues to be a "toerag", as Cetawin so eloquently puts it. He got his tailfeathers handed to him by my DH at roost time last night for threatening me when I was rubbing Rufus's chest. And when your namesake took up his cause, unadvisedly, he was literally hung by
his (not on purpose-we don't
try to abuse our birds, LOL). Aubrey can learn, but Rusty? That boy is one sandwich short of a picnic, I fear. I told DH, who seems to think he can teach the boy some manners, that Rusty's brain cells are not firing on all cylinders and he will most likely never change. He is so darn handsome, but again, I threatened him with the crockpot. Naturally, he'd not add up to two good bites, so he won't ever end up there, no fear. He's a bit of comic relief at times, minor frustration at others-don't want you to think I'm complaining in the least! You warned me about the D'Anver male personality/temperament and I went in with my eyes wide open. I still am quite pleased with my choice of bantam breed!
Cetawin and I were talking about it last night and I think that Aubrey and Rusty are still debating that #2 spot. Rufus is well-seated as #1 and Angus isn't making a real move to go up the ladder, almost is content for now to be at the bottom.
On a positive note, I am completely in love with Angus at this point, as well as Rufus. Angus doesn't even offer to bite, much less flog. He's a good boy and I believe he has turned out as good looking as Aubrey, maybe even more so on some points.
