There be no Turkens or Showgirls here dang it...them thangs is freaky looking! JJ watch it...the Hairy Legged Horde is getting restless even with a day off from training. While I was out celebrating my anniversary today they were relaxing in the sun and eating mealworms. Got them all fired up to not be training.

See what happens when I tell them we cannot attack Virginia yet....I get all these "What you say? Why not?" expressions and they get all up in my face...

Even the young ones are training in the house

Iffin you are not careful I will add some of these to the front lines....I know where some are hatching right now and I could easily get them JJ muahahahahaha (make sure your voume is turned up this is a cute video by The Warden of her two boys, Stewart and Louis)

Muahahahahahahahaha *LH runs out cackling madly "Train my babies Train!"

Well.... he has perfect type and pose body wise, as shown in the last pic. great tail and good full bullneck hackle. But he's just too darn black!
His hackles and saddle feathers should be nicly laced in the same golden color as the body. Also his breast looks mottled with black and off colored in the bay/golden color. It should be solid golden bay... comb is a little slick too, should be heavily spiked all the way threw.

Honestly kinda wonder if he's pure quail and not a color mix somewhere down the line. If that's his hen behind him, she's showing the same off coloration, she almost looks like a brown red birchen.

While he's no show winner, he is still a pretty boy with great type though

finally got enough variety in chicks today to start taking those day old pics of all the colors we talked about a month or so back, will get a good pile of them going then post them all as a reference guide for anyone who cares to see.

will try to get these few on today some time just to get it started, can always edit and add the new ones to it as I get them I guess.

May even add some of the phoenix I have right now just til I get the d'anver versions just so the chick down ID can be made...it's the same obviously, just in a different breed

i got him from mcmurray so id guess hes pure but maybe not idk
and that hen behind him is a mix from him and some really weird mixed breed hen i had
she took most of his genes though

I think we'll have to put that chick down. It still hasn't grown and it becoming weaker, in spite of drinking and eating on its own, though I've seen a decrease in its feed consumption in the last couple of days. Sure has heart, though, to keep going for over a week.

Well I took a few chick pics, the last few are phoenix bantams, but still work for color. Some are a bit blurry, sorry too lazy to edit them this go round. Tried to get a face shot and an aerial back shot to help show over all color and pattern for them. Will continue to add them as I hatch the various colors. This way it will help those trying to color ID the chicks
