Dark Cornish personality

I have a couple dark cornish pullets and they are the most skittish, flighty things. Is this breed specific? I'm used to calm breeds like rocks, brahmas and orpingtons. These pullets are around 6ish weeks and 9ish weeks old and are just so scared of everything.

That was our experience with Dark Cornish as well. We accidentally got two from the feed store, because they were mislabeled, and they were absolute lunatics with no personality. Ended up getting rid of them.

Well they are part of my breeding project so I will keep em, just wanted to make sure mine weren't abnormal lol Thanks!

Oh cool, what is the breeding plan?

Oh I'm planning to make a mix of Brahma, Delaware, Dark Cornish, white rock and maybe Chantecleer to see if I get the traits I'm looking for. I want a docile bird, that has better breast is good to butcher at 12-14 weeks, good for winter and keeps the cute feathered feet lol ... Its totally in the beginnings but is my plan.

For the most part our Cornish are fairly calm, not as calm or tame as the moderns, but the tame down easy for us.

Mine seem to becalming some now that they are outside and have space. They aren't as freaked out for sure.
