Next year I am going to work on Olive egg laying chickens. Penedesenca crossed with UofA Blue Egg Layers.

Oh you will love those eggs!!!

I crossed my Blue AM to a variety of barred hens and each of the girls produces a different color brown, fro light to medium. THe darkest egg is from a girl with some marans blood. Diluted but still some coloring to make it interesting. Of course the darkest olives come from the blue x very dark eggs = gorgeous!!

I love all the egg colors. Collecting the eggs is liike an Easter egg hunt everyday!!

THe marans eggs always amaze me. Even those are different hen to hen, and even day to day from the same hen.

Hi Dark Egg laying chicken owners!

I found the first egg from one of my Partridge of Wheaten Penedesencas this morning! It is a 54G egg too!
