mtnkids: Keep on candling & learning. Candling does not mean cracking eggs open, right! I use a med/sm sized handheld 9 Led flashlight, grasp it in hand with light facing up, pinch thumb & 1st finger together to make a circle, put the egg in there to candle, be sure to move egg over some to see thru the air cell so you can see it's developement on day 7 or 8, 14 & 18 to "lockdown," & also look at how the dark mass grows on those days, along with how the egg white part gets less & less. When you learn to see those changes, then it will be very easy to decide if the egg is viable or not, as an infertile egg will be translucent unless it goes rotten in the later days. Trust me, you'll get better & better at it, & it will help.
