Interesting though, according to our game warden, they can actually feel the pulse in my fence from about 6 inches away, and jump on the off beat, so to speak. They're really smart, unfortunately.

Sorry folks I just got in. The bear was a no show last night. Will be waiting for it again tonight. The wife thinks I crazy, spending the night on the deck waiting for a bear. Once they get shocked by the fence I believe they can feel the pulse of electric current in the wire. I will keep you undated.
