Do you not eat any good fats?
Our bodies thrive on good fats, especially since every cell in our body is 50% saturated fat.
THere is a reason pre industrial diets were comprised of 50-8-% of carlories coming from fats.
And diseases such as diabetes and heart disease were rare.
Enter the fake fats and low fats of modernity, and the rates of these diseases began to skyrocket.
Eating low fat is also the reason we crave food and have a hard time stopping eating.
Yes, I do, Paula. I eat cheese every few days and about once a week, I have a lean burger patty grilled with melted provolone cheese, topped with onions and mushrooms sauteed in butter and olive oil. And when we have venison, we do eat meatloaf made with 2/3 venison and 1/3 reg ground beef. I used to do the mostly protein thing, but if I sort of get the gag thing going with too much meat. We do slow smoke a pork butt and have fabulous BBQ when it goes on sale. So, yes, I do get fats. We use real butter and olive oil quite a bit.sometimes, I put peanut butter on whole grain bread and just eat that. I have just lost my taste for beef/meat for the most part, not to mention that we just cannot afford it.
Oh I get the gagging if eating to much protien part.
Most ancient diets consisted of mostly fat, moderate protein and low carb. The natives would actually leave a carcass that had no fat on it to rot. They would not eat it, because if you eat protein without lots of fat on it, the body will rebel!
Thats why the high protein diets are so repulsive in the long term.

It can be astounding to actually see what one is actually eating, and if its actually nourishing. Nutrient dense foods will actually cause you to eat less over the course of the day. More bang for the buck so to speak.
