Ahhhh! As long as she is enjoying the project and the cards keep coming in. Well done you for getting us all involved!

We saw him run by the chicken coop in Eau Claire, WI.... 2 Roosters and 13 hens! Running very fast being it has been very COLD!

This was great fun.

Brainna and Carrie heard a noise at the Pheasants pen and went Runnin' & Hollerin' "What's that a 'Gingerbreadman'."I jumped to get a picture but he was just Quick for me, but you know he got my animals in a tailspin I had to give them all treats!! The Gingerbreadman was seen in Oneonta, Alabama. Hope yall get him home soon.

My Christmas Card that made into a post card for Jessica! Added a small Gingerbreadman on it!

Edited to add!! I enjoyed help you daughter with this project, my momma thinks I am crazy though! Oh well, what else is new!!

I have WHAT in my yard? :

I wish I had a better idea. The teacher said she doesn't make a huge issue of to whom the cards are addressed so to not create competition..... So, the kids themselves are told they got cards addressed to them, but they don't get to keep them until after the whole project is over.....


And she is only six. It takes quite a bit of prodding to get the information from her. I haven't resorted to waterboarding - yet!

She said she got 4 more Thursday but had no idea whether they were addressed to her or not. She was too distracted by her grandmother and her new shoes to tell me more.

Understandable. When you get them all home, it will be interesting for you to sort through them. Have fun with this project.!!​

Sent one from the Lone Star state on Wed. Gingerbread dude was seen riding herd on the longhorns! Hope it makes it in time.

That's OK. The people on here have been fabulous!!! I am sure when we get to see them all it will be great to find out where all my BYC friends are from!!!

Friday she got one from Iraq, but that one was from her Uncle. She remembered that one because she misses him so much and was very excited that he had seen her gingerbread man!! He said the Gman was harder to catch than Osama bin Laden and she was curious who that could be!

OK So belated update caused largely by confusion.

For some reason, they kids did NOT get the gingerbread man back. As in, he hasn't been found yet....

The note home when the project started said he'd be found on the 23rd. I am not sure why he wasn't but there isn't anyone to ask until the 1st.

They may have decided to extend it since the season was short this year. I don't know. So she hasn't gotten to bring them home and She said they got more on the 23rd, but they were having a pajama party and didn't read them.........

So, hang in there! I haven't forgotten about your kindness in helping her and I will (Scout's honor) update you as soon as I know more!!

Maybe they were having so much fun getting them from everywhere that the teacher just decided to extend the gingerbread man's vacation!
