So with the employee search at work.
Had zero interest for a couple weeks I think it was. Someone on evening shift found a friend for the evening opening so got that covered.
Boss bumped his ads and placed a couple more. Two people contacted him. One was set to start yesterday. No call no show on first day. That's 2 in row.
Called the backup and they want us to wait 2 weeks so they can give their current job their quit notice. 3 person contacted him. I told him to have that one start asap. He wants to put them on stand-by until we see how the other one works out.
So I'm guessing the one might change their mind before the 2 weeks is up and probably not even tell us. Then the 3rd will either change their mind or find something else before we're ready.
I think we should tell the 3rd to come in. That might not even show or might decide its not for them with a few days.
He also said seems many only want to work a couple or a few hours at a time so we could have 2 work together for a half day instead of 1 for a whole day.
We'll see how it plays out.

Where is the eye roll reaction. Sigh. Sounds ridiculous.
Speaking of ridiculous..

Today was staff special.
We made all of this food.. glazed ham, chicken patty, spicy chicken patty, turkey club wraps, chicken and noodles... and only two staff members ate.
A couple more helped themselves without paying.

And to top that off They were having Christmas parties in their classrooms today. And no one told me that so i could have made less. A lot of kids didn't eat.

So my reward for all of my hard work is i'm supposed to send my coworker home early And finish clean up and paperwork by myself.

Wow that is ridiculous! It looks amazing too! I hope they don’t make you throw it all out 😭
 
I wish we could find a recipe for the apple brown Betty we used to get when I was in school. That is one thing I've never had better anywhere. Love all that cinnamon and apple combination.
