A couple years ago we had a Great Pyreneese that adored children up to four years of age.
Another interesting note is that she refused to kill babies of any sort, all mammal babies she protected. For instance I found a few raccoon babies and showed them to her. She had no interest in killing the babies, but adult raccoons stood no chance with her if she caught them.
 
I have a chicken story/question.
I ground up some eggshells from our girls eggs and put them in a shallow bowl and then put it out by their food. They immediately dumped it out and buried it, bowl and all. Does anyone know why?

Oh wow that’s so interesting! He likes little babies and then older kids. Never really met many in the middle except my friends daughter who he runs from unless she’s sitting or in a stroller lol
