Dawg’s Chat Thread!

So I have to get rid of my chick and a rooster. I love them but we are not allowed to have roosters in NYC, and my neighbours are kinda close , there is no way they won’t notice. They are 6 weeks old and rooster is doing his thing… :/ I call him Maverick, he is very protective over his chick so they gotta go together, they hatched at the same time and they were the only ones that hatched. So I m looking for the family that would give them a good life. So stressed over this
But really looking forward to moving upstate sometime in the future…

You might have better luck posting a thread for them in the rehoming section or your state thread in addition to here. but obviously you’re more than welcome here too.

If I was close I'd take them in. I've rehomed several roosters for pets.

I hope all are sleeping better than I can tonight. I woke up after 2 hours and am miserable. Feeling feverish. Can't stay awake and can't sleep. I think they call that being caught between a rock and a hard spot.

Thank you, i might try that and be proactive about rehoming them. Was just feeling the injustice and all the prejudice ) against the poor rooster man. I wish I could keep them and see what they turn out like.
