I went to the farmer's market, today, and bought some homemade cheese from one of the stalls. It was pricey stuff at $19/lb! but I bought the smallest piece he had. Then, I turned to leave and heard a young gal who was tasting the cheese, who said to her companion, "It's wonderful but we can't, it's WAY too expensive for us" So, on impulse, I handed mine to her and said, "Enjoy it."
rainplace - thank you for the saying. It was very nice.
WriterofWords - you are a true giver. It seems like it is a way of life for you.
Camelot Farms - good for you to get the tv. I know it must be hard not being able to be there
but this can help fill your grandpa's day and ease your grandma's mind about how to afford it.
Damummis - I'm sorry you're having a hard time.
We sometimes have weeks like that and don't wish them on anyone. We'll hope you have a better week to come.
Good for you for doing something for your DH even if you're not up to par. That shows what a true caring person you are.
And yes I'd like to know how to do the peanut butter balls too (my DH is a BIG fan of peanut butter)
feathersnuggles - that was a very nice thing to do!
I'm sure she appreciated it immensely.
debiraymond - I bet lunch was great! Lucky you and your lunch partner!
Today I went to "Seedy Saturday". A group of people got together and brought seeds to swap, trade, sell and give away. They had a place to donate to the food bank, so I brought a few cans of food. I was able to get some seeds to try and bought some as well. Iam going to try to save some seeds to donate for next year. Last year was their first year but I was very new to the community and not too organized. This year, I had time to look around and figure I should be able to save some seeds to donate (I haven't saved seeds before so this will be a first for me)
This one was harder than it seems.... I gave 19 yr old DS the keys to my car for a date.... after he tore off my bumper in a little fender bender last week. *gulp* I really wanted to say no but I gave them up anyways.
And, I didnt give him any unnecessary hassle about it.
1 Cup Powdered sugar

1 T cocoa
1 T milk - I used 1/2&1/2 last night, no milk
1 T softened butter

I totally understand! Steven backed into someone on the 1st,, thank God for good insurance! I gave him the truck Friday and last night to use and smiled until he was out the door and then started praying! That was so hard!!!
Yesterday Steven's Reserve unit helped his old Boy Scout Troop with a food drive. I was a leader with them a long, long time! They sat in a grocery store parking all day long with a 5 ton truck from the Unit and collected food, I was so proud of him and them, they collected the most food they ever had.
I'm not sure if this is considered giving, but last night at a Moose Lodge dance one of the women got horribly drunk and is usually a very happy drunk but she got really upset and started yelling and causing a scene. So I went over and got her up to dance with me and did the Twist and a bunch of other songs and she calmed down and everyone settled down. I consider the gift of distraction! I also let someone go in front of me at Wal Mart again, and went down an aisle with a gentleman in a wheelchair and helped him get his groceries.
