Day 12 of quail eggs!!! Should I stop turning yet? And will my incubator work?

So far I’ve managed to incubate 15 quail eggs, 2 died one being infertile and the other came cracked during shipping, the rest are fine but I’m worried I should stop turning at day 12 or not? Also will my incubator work? And I’ve got more questions I just need these answered for now thank you! ^~^

Also I’m brand new to this family so far, other than that thanks for the help (if any arrives... I’m sure it will?)

If they are Japanese or coturnix quail you should stop turning on day 14.

Omg thanks!!! I’m using a hova bator 1602n, and yeah they are the most regular cotournix eggs they are! So today by the time I replied to this post means it will be the 13th day! So tomorrow I should stop? And should I leave a blanket for their feet? Since the floor is a metal gratted sheet

It's a good idea to put something on top of that grate. A lot of people use plastic shelf liner, but an old towel/blanket would work fine. All it does is keep their feet from slipping out from under them when they try to walk.

Thanks for the reply! So now that today is 13th i usually have my schedule of turning starting at 4:00am,8:00am,12:00pm,4:00pm,8:00pm,12:00am.... do I stop at 12:00am turning or earlier? Also this is my first time ever breeding birds...I’m no pro, but I think I’m doing good with all the research about there!
