Day 12 on Buff Bantam Ameraucanas (UPDATE 5/12/08)

Day 4 today, and 5 tomorrow already. I am so excited. Blue bantam orpington eggs shipping tomorrow. Anyone else on day 4/5 right now?

Good luck Marie...oh, and yes feel free to ask any questions you like. Sorry I missed that post before. I have quite a few set dates in progress. I have a hatch going right now that has araucana, bantam buff ameraucana and buff silkies. Mostly araucana tho..just throw the others in for fun. I hope all your eggs do well too.

Thanks Jody, I am sure they will do great. I will keep you posted. Am working on getting up some new coops so I can separate the breeds when the time comes. I have just had mostly silkies but now need to set up breeding pens so I can separate them.

Well, today (Wed. 4/8) is day 8 for the buff ameraucana eggs. I candled them finally and unfortunately had to take out 9 of them,. But Jfortunately Jody was kind enough to send extras so I have 11 left. Will try to update later. They are light blue so not as hard to see through as I had thought but may get harder as they go on. But hopefully I will get some of them to hatch.

Will be putting in more eggs tomorrow for a staggered hatch. That will be fun.

Today (5/12/08) is day 12 for these eggs and had to take out 4 more. So I am down to 7. No development in any of the ones I took out. Very strange air cells, moving around etc. I am guessing they got shaken alot but I don't know. Hopefully I will have some new babies come from these though. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
