Day 17 lots of movement, Day 18 no movement & aircell is quite large......scared!

Unfortunately, both babies died at about 18 days old. I cracked the eggs open yesterday at 26 days. The 2 babies were fully developed with yolk sacs, they even had their egg tooth already. I cant even imagine why these little guys would have both dies at the same stage the same day.... There was no smell to the eggs, they were not foul. I just dont understand. The only thing I can think of it temp. But I wouldnt think that the eggs temps dropping for short periods of time while I turned the other eggs and filled the water compartments would hurt babies at that stage, hens have to leave the nest every now and then. I wonder if it was lack of oxygen...I just dont know. My pheasant eggs dont seem promising either......today will be thier 23 day......hmmmm....I dont think I will attempt this again, as I was very sad seeing those fully developed babies being put in a hole a buried. I blame myself. Any advice would be much appreciated.

oh, also when I cracked one of the eggs there was a little bit of brown fluid leaking from it and the yolk did look red and mushy...the other was yellow and firm.

Sorry to hear about your lost chickys... that was some time ago I am sure you have got it dialed down now.

My situation:

About half of my eggs on day 17 the aircels seem like they arent big enough. How can I last minute increase their size PLEASE anyone. Time is running out. Should I not add water to increase the humidity for the last 3? My Incuview hydrometer has indicated the humidity was fine and my own TWO digital meters read 50%-60% throughout. Its rainy the last two days so it has jumped to 65%-70% that is without a drop of water in the Incuview.

I too am freaking a little bit. I didnt realize how stressful this can be. I have a small fortune of rare heritage eggs in there and I am praying for only 50%. I have only heard superb things with the Incuview so this is the first test drive perhaps I should have ran only a few for a first run. Anyways anyone weigh in on what my options are is greatly appreciated!

Hej I have the same problem with giving them too much humidity during incubation.. and now the air cells are really small.. what should I do? I decreased humidity on day 16, 17, 18 to 25 and they grew a little bit bigger but not much..
Can you help me? What humidity I have to give them day 19.. I'm at lockdown since yesterday afternoon and increased it to 35.. but I guess I will have to increase it in the afternoon today or at day 20 tomorrow.. just how high should I set the humidity - if they have small air cells..? I hope they'll not drown..
