day 18-19 no pips!!!

hello! im currently hatching 6 eggs under a broody hen. there has been one or two times were a single egg has been pushed out from under her and turned cold for probably no less than a few hours. last time i candled (day 17), all was good. there was a visible air sac but i could still see a few veins on one of the eggs, is that normal? she is seperate from other hens and the eggs she's hatching are all small bantam eggs. is there a reason they're not hatching now?

You should not have pips at this day, wait till day 20-21

They can, but I just had a quail hatch at 24 days who was supposed to hatch around 17-21. Very late! But he is doing well. Just developed slowly. Let them take their time!

That's incorrect for the most part but true for some FEW specific lines. SO if the information came directly from the breeder then it may be accurate.

ALL of my bantam Silkies and bantam Ameraucana hatched on day 21.

Usually that's seramas and they hatch Usually day 20. So for most bantams you can expect them to hatch day 21
