Yes leave them in the bater until they are fully fluffed and dried. Do not try to dry them your self.

The temp is supposed to be at 99.5 and the vent plugs should be pulled, they need oxygen, and humidity should be between 65 and 70%

my temps are 99.5 no higher and not lower . after a yr of hatching (i cant seem to stop) sometimes i leave till all dried and sometimes hard to when i have a big hatch they seem to never dry .. in your case it sounds like they dried kinda fast .. soon as looked like they was there i would have taken out .. but you wasnt home ? humm that would have been a hard one which id ask how long you think they was ahtched befor you found them ?

hummm in my case my brooder box is nice and if thier not all way dry they still seem to dry fast in it .. if i have a big hatch the humdity is up so much it stays damp in there and 24 hours latter chicks wouldnt still be dry .. im sorry 24 hours a chick needs water and dont need to bake in there .. so i take min out as i feel its time ..
the bigest thing is to each thier own and what works for one might not anothere .. were here to suggest ..help ful ways ..
