Whew, it was a long day waiting yesterday. Finally went to sleep, and woke up to one baby quail! I've got 22 eggs left. Let's see how many we get! [IMG]

The humidity was at 60% and now it's down to 56%. Is it okay to open up the incubator and add a little water? I haven't seen any movement in the other eggs. Just one baby quail so far.

Yes, yes. Of course! I grabbed my camera and I'm trying to get good pictures through the plastic window [IMG].

Temp is at 99 and humidity says 61%..is that good? I'd rather not mess with it since one has already hatched. It's a still-air.

When I hatched quail I had a lot that pipped and then I waited and waited and nothing was happening. Then I got busy and wasn't thinking about it so much and half an hour latter I came back and 6 had hatched. Once they pip and decide to hatch they come out quick.

Do I need to open it and add more water or just let it be? I don't want to hurt them...I can't tell if any more have pipped or not!

Just let it be, that is plenty of humidity.
