Day 18 -- I have a baby quail! - - First picture! - Questions **

Whew, it was a long day waiting yesterday. Finally went to sleep, and woke up to one baby quail! I've got 22 eggs left. Let's see how many we get!

The humidity was at 60% and now it's down to 56%. Is it okay to open up the incubator and add a little water? I haven't seen any movement in the other eggs. Just one baby quail so far.

Temp is at 99 and humidity says 61%..is that good? I'd rather not mess with it since one has already hatched. It's a still-air.

Yay! 2 quail now! I'm so excited. It's my first hatch.

When I hatched quail I had a lot that pipped and then I waited and waited and nothing was happening. Then I got busy and wasn't thinking about it so much and half an hour latter I came back and 6 had hatched. Once they pip and decide to hatch they come out quick.

Do I need to open it and add more water or just let it be? I don't want to hurt them...I can't tell if any more have pipped or not!

Just let it be, that is plenty of humidity.
