Same as these...I really like the look of the Lavender Orps
Want one or 2 badly Probably be sorry after i finally get some as my Buff Orps arent the most friendly of all my little pulletsHAHA.,
.Shipping is so high on chicks, thought i would save by getting eggs...LOL
.Looks like i will spend the same ...but maybe more if i lose all my egglets everytime..
Anyway I really like them and the Lemon Cuckcoo orps too...so pretty!!

.Once i have them maybe i will be happy...well unless i start on the bantams....At this point i wont even LOOK at the bantams..... Afraid....Chicken math gets you every time doesnt it?

I know one thing i am tempted to get a whole bunch of these eggs so something lucks out and makes it.I had 11 this time maybe 22 or more?
I am so naaive i thought i might have too many hatch so put an ad on craigs to sell some when they are born...have a guy close by wanting some
Now we neither might get any at all.

Well i am stil hoping since the lady i bought them from said not to give up yet.and wait until DAY 23.She said if the dark area takes up 1/2 of the egg to not give up as if its reall ydark in them (which it is) i might get some yet so iam still trying..?

Chickenlover...I have put 2 containers of wet sponges in there and added more water to the channel likw 3 times in the bottom of the Little Giant...still the humidity is 56!!What else do ihave to do to get it higher?Any thoughts?
Do if fill the whole trackwork in the bator with water? So far ijust did the very outside one .

No you need to fill more with water not just that little one. pull a plug out if need be and use a straw to add water or hurry and pull top off a little and pour water in that way hurry you want it close to 80% so 70-80% so the shell can come off them easy my sister her last hatch had hers to low in the 60% they died because they could not break through the shell. so I am doing 75%-80% humidity and temp is 99.5. Let me no how it is going for you. Some people told me that you can also use a maxi pad get it wet and put on the wire tray and that can also help but you need to fill both ok.

ok I am at 99.6 for temp right now after I filled water in box1 and box 2 it is at 71% humidity.

hi I am Chicken Lover Wi's sister and this is my fourth or fifth hatch and I have some pipping rt now, lol... just thought I'd help out a lil... try to raise your humidity to a bit higher and see if you can get closer to the higher 70's or 80.....otherwise do not open or touch unless you have no choice,mistakes made and learned prior hatches, lol....good luck

LMAO, i have now ended up with a total near 90+

so i quit counting, and i am hatching out 42 more and looking for more eggs in diff breeds lol........ i am an addict, i admit it!!!

Sorry anoteher question by me....and one that has been answered just cant find where.....
first hatch.
Today is day 18 at 9 am to be exact...So Lockdown.... but do i lock down at 9 am? or do i wait until the end of the day and lockdown then? which would be day 18 and 1/2?
Want to get this right.Or is it tomorrow morning day 19 .?
My understanding is after 18 days you lockdown so wouldnt that be day 19?
Set eggs May 18th 9 am so Day one was May 19th 9 am.
Want the humidiity to go up on the right day.
Maybe i am overthinking it..

I read here more than one place that day 1 is 24 hr after setting them. Then I was confused about the lock down day too. I read some place from an experienced hatcher to count back three days from your 21st day and lock down then. That makes it on the 18th day. So I am still confused but think I will follow his info. LOL
