Day 18 lockdown question

Thanks again to AT Hagan for more info ... helpful! And i need it!!!
Cant tell much as mine are brown but will candle tonite before i lock down
.Now looking at a chart someone put up says day 1 is the day you set them if it is in the morning..!What are you doing chickenlover? Did you lock down yet ?
Lucky you that is great... a lot of close up help

ok I am at 99.6 for temp right now after I filled water in box1 and box 2 it is at 71% humidity.

I have 2 diff temp going a really nice digital one that reads humidity and temp that is the one saying 99.6 but the really cool one that touches egg that is suppose to be better said it is at 98.0 and made for a incubator? Now it say 72% and temp at 99.8 and incubator one says 98.1 and it is touching the egg.

Maybe i should start too.Probably better a high humidity early than late. if you started onthe 18th too at 9;30 am...we are the same so...gues i will. HERE we GO!!!

You're overthinking it. This whole thing is not that precise.
You count your first day twenty four hours after you set the eggs. That's the end of day one. Doesn't have to be to the literal minute, close will do. So when the end of day eighteen arrives you can move them into lockdown. A few hours early or late isn't going to matter much. Just not days late.

Hagon have a qustion for you if I have 6 frizzle due 1 day later then these ones can I also put them under lock down 1 day early?

Well just candled all my eggs before locking down..BOOO...think all have died.
They looked 3/4 or more full at 9 days like they should have but now none look that full Lots of clear space...Think all have died. they al lweigh 1.8 oz. now Dont know what a viable egg at 18 days should weigh but thats mine.
I dont know why as i was meticulous on eveything except the humidity went down to 20 like 4 times during this 18 day period didnt think it was down long but it was during the night so who knows.it drops pretty fast when it drops though Not one egg of 7 looks chock full of darknes only about 1./2 to 1/3rd full in fact less than they were at 10 days . l. am so disappointed
Stil have them in the bator until i check some photos but i have earlier and iam wishful thinking as i know they should be crammed full of baby. and movning andd i dont see it.
So back to buying some eggs again today..
Good luck Chickenlover Sure yours will do better than this!

I AM LEAvING THEM IN.
MIGHT AS WELLGO ALLTHE WAY NOW.GET USE TO GETTING THE HUMIDITY RIGHT practice anyway even if they are dead ..The lady i got them from said dont give up yet also. But i am watching the auctions to buy more as we speak
GRRR i wlll get one hatching egglet if it kills me..... eventually !!
