Cute little guy for sure!  I hope the other makes it!! What kind of turkey??
How many other eggs do you have?
Good luck!

Got a dozen eggs from a friend after her turkey abandoned the nest. She thinks they are Royal Palms. 9 out of 12 were undeveloped or had a little veining, 1 was about half developed with a moving chick, and 2 had already pipped internally! I just put them in my incubator on Saturday :)

i am in wash. I wish I could give you one of my chicks.

Aww, that's sweet.. Thanks... I have to get this figured out, got my name on the list for Turkey eggs when they are ready and I do not want to mess this up... Got my sad day out of the way, now the incubator is sanitized and ready to start up again on Friday.. Moved it into the spare room and started collecting eggs

If my next hatch is as well as my first then its the climate in the front room I had the bator in...I think it was just too open and drafty.. but we shall see

sometimes you have to move the bator around. I had my incubator early last year in the livingroom under a window- too drafty- when I plugged the draft I got good hatches there- then my last hatch they were in laundry room. too moist in there.

I'm on the list for Narragansett eggs as soon as they are laying and fertile.. Hoping next month...

Yes, our front room it between our front door and the dining room sliding glass door, a lot of traffic, It just make sense now that I should have moved it back in the other room when I had problems keeping the temps level.. it was usually at night that it would happen of course, wake up to a lower temp then I was comfortable with.

My daughter raises Bourbon Reds in Arkansas.......I live in Dallas. When her girls start laying again, I may get some eggs from her. I'd like to raise some for meat birds. From what I read, Royal Palms aren't that great for meat. Anyone have any experience with them???
