That swelling should go down on it's own soon. Just don't let the others peck that are.View attachment 1848652 No 3 arrived at the speed of light. Maybe the football helped! I panicked about the red bum but have read that’s where the yolk was absorbed. It’s a noisy one!
That’s why I’ve moved the boisterous ones into the brooder now they’re dry. I read about chicks dying because of all the rumpus going on. Just wish I understood more about sex linked or auto sexed chickens. Have no idea what this one is?That swelling should go down on it's own soon. Just don't let the others peck that are.
3 out of 12 so far. Not sure if that’s going well or notCongratulations on your hatch, and that everything went so well! My first are due in 7 days! So what ever will be, will be...
They are precious!Full of life and mischief. I know the first two are a cream Legbar female and male.
You removed the stinky one right? One egg was definitely smelling bad. Two look like their egg cells are way to big now. Crossing my fingers for the one on its way. Maybe it’ll be quick like two of them have been. Hope it’s born before I have to go for a long day. I have a friend to come in check on my babies while im away tomorrow. What I adore watching is the total support and encouragement from the chick in with it. They just won’t leave the hatching egg. Lying on it, sitting next to it, talking to it. It’s amazing. I’m now in love with the whole experience
