Hello everyone.
Sorry I have been remiss in posting how our incubation finally turned out..........We had no eggs that hatched, and actually, after opening and examining them, there was only one viable egg in the entire batch. The dark colored shells hindered being able to actually see what was going on in there.
On a brighter note, our second batch is in the incubator and just went into lockdown this morning. I can now see the HUGE difference between the first hatch and the second hatch. The blood vessels are VERY apparent. These, too, are all shipped hatching eggs, some from Ebay and some from Poppa's Poultry (whom I found on this forum), and all of Jeff's eggs are developing very nicely!!! I had three different shipments from Ebay and two of them (Chocolate Orpingtons and Jubilee Orpingtons) were a total bust, not one viable egg after candling at day 14. Upon opening each egg, they had not even began development.
With any luck, our Thanksgiving will be extra blessed with new chicks!
Jill
