Day 20, No activity.....Is this normal? Chicken mom freaking out! :)

We woke up to pipping and chirping this morning! So far 4 have pipped. The kids are so excited!

GREAT!!! Question----when you put your eggs in the incubator----when do you start counting the days----is the day you set them day 1 or is 24 hours later day 1?

I started counting a full 24 hours after the eggs were set.

Hello, it's day 19 for me and I candled the egg today and I didn't see any distinct veins BUT I saw a large mass covering most of the egg.. I also used a different flash light to candle that isn't as strong as the one I was using before- is my egg still ok??

I am guessing the eggs are in a incubator. Eggs should have been candle by day 18 and should be in Lock-down till they hatch. Lock-down----increase moisture, keep incubator closed----not moving the eggs at all----- till they hatch----adding water if needed using a stray, etc without opening the incubator----"My Opinion"!

If you are saying the Inside of the eggs are a large dark mass-----that sounds good. GOOD LUCK!!

Humidity should be between 70-80% so the egg is soft enough to pip thru. Most people use wet sponges to raise humidity.

I like 70+% too. The chicks break out easier/less trouble.
