This is our first hatch and of all the eggs to choose, we did dark layers so we weren't able to candle . After reading we decided to just leave the egg turners in there although now I regret that decision. We wanted to mess with the air and eggs as little as possible. sigh. Egg hatching is stressful

1 chick started to pop last late last night and was out this morning when we woke up. Doing well. No pipping from the other 11 . Day 22

I'm at the start of day 22, have three pips I noticed this morning - nothing yet. This is my first incubation, too. Congrats on one so far! Stay strong.

Very exciting! We hatched for the first time this spring also.
We were huddled around the incubator cheering those little chicks to break through.

21 days is a general number, not a hard and fast rule. Do you hear any peeping from the rest of the eggs? I'd give it another couple of days at least. For future reference, I'd suggest taking the egg turner out on day 18 so they can get into position for hatching.

I do wish we took it out .

I hear peeping and just saw movement out of one
