Nope, they aren't great but the best I can tell from those pics, it isn't fertile. You can see a faint light through the whole egg, only dark spots are from the pigmentation.

We purchased a dozen coturnix quail from a local breeder.

Can't you see if your local breeder you received your eggs from has a few to sell explain to them what has happened.
