Hi, be patient. I had 5 maran eggs, 2 pipped and hatched on day 21, the other three I had candled on day 18 and saw movement. Today, day 25, I decided to give up since I candled them today and no movement. 1st was malpositioned, so could have died before moving into position, plus it's yolk sac was still quite huge. 2nd egg came out in it's complete bubble, chick was fully formed, feathered, but half the size of normal and yolk sac was bigger than he was. 3rd one checked at my pip mark and white membrane was shrunk wrapped over chick. I gently peeled off membrane, remarking to my daughter how "perfect" it was, just had a teeny bit of yolk sac remaining. Then all of the sudden the legs moved, and an eye opened, then wings moved, I ran with it under the heat lamp where my others are in the brooder, massaged it gently, kept it warm, then when incubator was back up to temp, layed "her" in it. she died about a half an hour later. I could KICK myself for opening her egg, but then again, day 25, no pips, no movement I was sure she was dead already. She probably had been trying to pip for 3-4 days and was just too weak to continue.
